As a side project starting in May 2026, I have been challenging myself to grow an NYC event-marketing TikTok page. My goal is to post 3-5 times per week and spend less than 15 minutes editing each video. I have found that my videos perform well when they feel authentic and unpolished. I've only used content I filmed myself, and I have edited everything in CapCut. This has been a challenge for me because I am used to filming with a mirrorless camera and editing with Premiere/After Effects.

In mid-July, I split off my nature-related videos into a separate account (@GenZ_NatGeo). Since it is new, each video has been a hit or miss, based on the algorithm. It mutually benefitted each account to align the content with specific niches, instead of mixing both types of videos into one page.
