I worked at the "Kursa" Latvian summer high school in 2016 & 2017 as a photography teacher and digital media manager. Kursa is a month-long camp dedicated to teaching high schoolers about the Latvian language and culture.
In this short amount of time, I created videos and photobooks. I also walked around the forest for hours every day, teaching kids how to take great photos. I used a Canon SL1 DSLR, external flash, tripod, and reflector to shoot most of these photos and videos. I edited the content with Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, Premiere Pro, and InDesign.
In 2016, we entered a Latvian folk song music video contest and won!
I created a promo video in 2017, with the help of other staff members. The goal was to show what a typical day is like at Kursa.
I photographed everyone for the camp photobook and some of my favorite pictures are below.
I had to follow everyone around and take photos at events!
