Since November 2024, I have been on the board of the American Latvian Youth Association. My role as the marketing director is to create merch, raise money for partner non-profits, and promote events. I created merch collections for every major group trip/event. I used Printful and Squarespace to sell and fulfill most products. We also launched a few in-person only products that sold out quickly.
Anna Pūre Apparel Launch
ALJA set a goal to uplift young Latvian-American artists through our digital magazine, social media platforms, and web store through a series of collaborations. I was in charge of managing the project, so I reached out to Anna Pure on Instagram and asked her to create original concepts for ALJA Shop. Anna came up with three different designs: "GAN JAU," "Uzlej Garu," and "Vasaras Raibumi," based on a fusion of nostalgic Latvian and American pop culture references. We worked together to choose products and design placements. I set up the digital aspects of the collab on Squarespace, managed the QA/approval process throughout our non-profit, got her work published in our digital magazine, and coordinated social media content.
Sept 2026 Marketing Content
I shot the "GAN JAU" and "Vasaras Raibumi" shirt images at an event in the New York Catskills with a Canon R8, in collaboration with Anna Pure. Since several products arrived late, I shot the hat and "Uzlej Garu" shirt UGC-style with an iPhone 15 at the US Open and on the Williamsburg Bridge. I edited the images in Lightroom and Photoshop. The goal was to post everything in a "summer-recap" style post on the ALJA social channels and use the lifestyle PDP shots as rollovers on the site.
June 2026 AI Concept Images
I created eated visual mock ups for a photoshoot with ChatGPT and Adobe Lightroom. The idea was to create a dreamy editorial scene mixing trendy streetwear aesthetics and Latvian-American midsummer celebrations. Initially, I was going to place the AI mock ups on all the product pages and use them on social media, but we ultimately felt like it wasn't the right move.
